Registration: Help for Students without an Access Code
How do I obtain an access code so I can register for my course?
Please see the options below.
Purchase a Printed Access Code
When an instructor places a textbook order, he or she can specify which materials are included with the book (such as an access code). In most cases, your campus bookstore will have the correct package of course materials, and the access code will be located inside the front or back cover or on an insert that is shrink-wrapped with the textbook.
If you cannot find your access code or purchased a used textbook, please visit your campus bookstore to buy the standalone Student Access Kit (which contains an access code card and instructions) for your course.
Purchase a Subscription Online (No Access Code Required)
You can also purchase access directly from Pearson by visiting the website you need to access. After beginning the registration process from the home page of the site, you may use a credit card or PayPal to purchase access. (This option may not be available on all sites.) This will give you instant access to create your username and password without the need of an access code.
Purchasing Books and Access Codes from Third-Party Sellers
Access codes purchased from retailers other than your university/college bookstore or Pearson may not be valid for the specific requirements of your course developed by your instructor. Pearson is unable to replace the access codes purchased from these retailers. Students would need to contact the point of purchase to replace or return an access code.
We recommend purchasing course materials from the university/college bookstore to be sure you receive the correct materials.
