eText for iPad: Troubleshooting
I am running into various issues with the eText for iPad App.
Why do I receive the error message "Invalid Username or Password ..." when I try to log in?
The error message, "Your Username/Password is incorrect or your titles are not yet available for the iPad", appears because the username and password combination you entered is incorrect or because the eText for which you are registered is not yet available in the eText for iPad app.
If you are using this app, you can check whether your Username and Password are correct using the Login Name and Password Assistance page. (This is not available for the Campus or Schools apps.)
I signed out of the app and now I can’t get back in. How do I regain access?
The answer depends on which app you are using.
If you sign out of the Pearson eText app and try to work while your iPad is not connected to the Internet, you will not be able to sign in to the Pearson eText app because authentication must occur while you are online. To access your bookshelf, re-connect your iPad to the Internet and then re-launch the eText app and sign in. Generally, there is no need to sign out of the app. Keep your eText app signed-in before you take your iPad offline and you’ll still be able to access your eText bookshelf while offline.

If you ever Sign Out of the Pearson eText for Campus app, you will need to again access your eText by signing back into your MyLabsPlus or MasteringPlus course using mobile Safari on your iPad and selecting a link to your eText. You will then be presented with a web page that allows you to launch your eText title using the eText for Campus app. As long as you do not sign out of the app, you can launch the Pearson eText for Campus app directly from your iPad for subsequent logins.

Can I use my Pearson SuccessNet or SuccessNet Plus username to access my K-12 titles in the eText app?
What if my eText on the iPad is missing pages that the print textbook displays?
If you are not able to navigate to certain pages of the eText on the iPad, it is because Pearson does not have permission from content rights holders to display those pages electronically.
Why do I see a red circle with a white X after I download a chapter on my eText for iPad app?
When downloading a chapter using the eText app, you will first see a loading icon next to the chapter title. Once it has finished loading, the icon will change to a red circle with a white X in the center. If you see that button you can access that chapter without an Internet connection. You can also press that button to delete the downloaded chapter.
